FREE vintage image

This vintage image from 1926 is from my personal collection. My husbands great-grandfather had a photography studio from the late 1890's through about 1942 located in Oxford,Ms and Holly Springs, Ms during those years. While going through his grandmother's estate in 1997 I found several old boxes of photos of unknown people. Some were studio photos others just snapshots. Naturally I save them..I have no idea who any of these people are except this first one..as it is signed on the back who this young girl was. Maybe you will enjoy using it in your collage, mixed media or altered art.

Hi Renee,
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful vintage photograph, it's terrific. I have a picture of my late father as a baby and a similar kind of postcard but when I scan it the writing is too faint to read. Was your print dark to begin with?

Yes Sharon it was dark,,I didn't lighten it or anything before posting because I thought others might what to do it to suit their tastes.

You totally scored Renee.

Now how the heck did you get the accent on your name?

I tried when I first did my blog as of course I have one on my name but I guess it would look a little too pretentious to try to add one now.

I love it and love how it looks.

You have a wonderful blog Renee.
